on the intelligence the officers of the air intelligence unit, air
customs, calicut international airport have recovered 31 numbers of Indian
passports, 15 numbers of international driving permit, 12 numbers of blank
visas and 10 numbers of blank passport pages (all seemed to have been fake
in nature) attempted to be exported clandestinely concealing the same in
the baggae of a passenger bound to Dubai by Air Arabia flight G9-596 at 4
am on 6.7.2008. On verification of the passport belonging to the passenger
he is identified as Shri Nizar Panalam, Panalam House, Ukkambatty, Post
Cheroor, Kasaragod District. The
passenger was detained with his baggage and investigation on this aspect
has been initiated and the passenger and the passports and other documents
recovered are being handed over to Kondoty Police for further
investigation and necessary action. The recovery was made by Shri K.Salil,
Intelligence Officer keeping surveillance at the export baggage hall under
the supervision of Shri S.Damodaran, Superintendent (Intelligence) and
under the direction of Shri C.K.Bhaskaran I.R.S, Assistant Commissioner of
Customs, Calicut International Airport. The following intelligence
officers also participated in the recovery and further investigation of
the case: S/Shri.
Vinod Kumar.V.V, K.C.Balachandran Nair, Robin Baby, K.Dineshan, and
M.Ramachandran Preliminary investigation conducted in this regard reveals that a major gang operating in Kasaragod area is behind the racket. Further investigations are on. Sd/- SUPERINTENDENT (INTELLIGENCE) FOR
