Sir,

I am directed to state that DGCEI has prepared a compilation of 27 favourable judgements pronounced by the Central Information Commission pertaining to exemption from furnishing information under the Right to Information Act, 2005, in respect of cases under investigation. The such compilation in meant for the reference of, and also to provide guidance to, the CPIOs and the first Appellate Authorities of the preventive / anti-smuggling wings of the Commissionerates. The compilation in being placed on the website of CBEC for easy access by the field formation.
