POSTING IN THE GRADE OF ASSISTANT/DEPUTY/JOINT/ADDITIONAL DIRECTORS IN THE DIRECTORATE OF SYSTEMS AND DATA MANAGEMENT – INVITATION FOR APPLICATIONS FROM CBEC OFFICERS

The Directorate of Systems is engaged in design and execution of a number of ambitious IT projects that will transform the functioning of the department and bring about a qualitative improvement in the services available to internal and external users. The projects envisage setting up a state of art IT infrastructure ensuring high availability to users and new user friendly applications. The work would be stimulating and challenging.

The Directorate needs officers who have the inclination to work in Information Technology related areas and adequate experience in Customs, Central Excise and Service Tax. Officers need to have basic familiarity with computer applications. Specialized technical qualifications/background in IT would be an additional advantage.

Applications are invited from officers of CBEC, who are eligible for posting in or transfer to A cities, under the existing Transfer Policy of the Department, for posting in the grade of Assistant/Deputy Directors and Joint/Additional Directors in the offices of Directorate of Systems in New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkatta. Officers, who are willing to be considered for these posts, are requested to forward their applications along with their Curriculum Vitae, setting out their educational qualifications, specialized training/courses, experience and skills in handling IT-related projects/assignments and history of postings.
